Merchandise

Merchandise plays a very important role in determining the long term success of a dollar store. Value, variety, brand name recognized and the ability to secure new merchandise are the four critical variables that must be focused upon. Here is how we handle it:

VALUE - is only determined by physically seeing and touching the product, so we have a staff of Merchandise Buyers that travel on a regular basis to each of our key suppliers and personally inspect new products. Only high value products are accepted in our system and offered to our stores.

VARIETY - because of our stores' large volume of business, we are able to get some suppliers to ship in inner pack quantities. So, instead of shipping 144 pieces of one item, in many instances, we can get 48 pieces of that item. This allows you a greater variety in your store for the same amount of money, the more variety you generate, and the more sales you realize!

NATIONAL BRAND AFFILIATIONS - will provide the store instant name recognition and added consumer confidence. In most communities we are able to facilitate relationships with a number of nationally recognized product lines included as part of the store’s merchandise. Local companies representing brands such as; Coke, Little Debbie, Pepsi, Frito lay, 7up, Dreyers and others provide displays and products .




NEW PRODUCTS - you are contemplating entering the variety store business where your customers expect to see lots of new merchandise every time they come into the store. You want to create a fun and dynamic shopping experience that will bring your "treasure hunting" customers back again and again. Why? To see what's new, of course! Because of our extensive network of over 75 suppliers we can usually add 200 - 300 new products EVERY WEEK!

Another unique service we provide is the weekly newsletter. This newsletter highlights the suppliers we visited during the week and includes the listings of products we accepted into our wholesale system. This newsletter is mailed or e-mailed weekly.
